darling's birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [belated] DARLING!

as soon as the clock struck 12, i rang up darling & asked him to come down to his void deck.lucky me, got to reach in time to settle down, stuck the candles into the holders and poked into the cake before the minute hand moved onto 12.

ordered a Bakerzin cake - Coeur Noir : Layers of dark chocolate mousse and sacher sponge, with brandy cherries and hazelnut dacquoise at the base.
ordered a heart-shaped one! =D
thou there were few cherries [ i tink we ate half the cake but only ate a cherry each], the taste of brandy is stronger than expected.

had the cake at darling's house before i cab home.
thou tired as i'm activated since as early as 7am, but i felt that it's worth it.
luckily he's only having his birthday once a yr =X

met up darling in the noon [17th Sep].

we acted according to the plan which was planned beforehand.went to Bugis.
while we were going to tap our Ez-link to get out of the MRT gate, there's a old man with a walking stick, who had onli 2% of his eyesight.
thus, i suggested to darling that he might wan to help the old man to get out of the gate.and so he did.
after that, when we left him and started to walk off, we heard him asking ppl ard him how can he get to Parco Bugis Junction, we turned ard and c that, despite the large crowd, no one offered to hlp him!omg, is this how self minded singaporeans are?
so disappointed.
thus, darling decided to hlp him to where he wanted to go, since it was also on our way.

he held the old man's arm and lead him along the way.as i gotta withdraw money, darling led him to his destination while i stay put to withdraw money.
along the way they chatted.from wat i heard from dar bout wat the old man say, i must say that he's rather optimistic.but fer us, it's always sad as we dunno cant be of much help.we can offer to help fer that once, but not forever.
when the old man reached his destination, he thanked dar with full of grattitude and appreciation.i guessed it's one of the happiest thing dar did on his 19th birthday!
may god be with the old man, and bless him. =)

reunited with dar and we went SHOPPING!
walked ard and dar bought 3 T-shirts & a pair of Bermudas.
1 T-shirt from Freshbox and the other 2 from Adidas.
the Bermudas is still with Seymin as it's from Manmaster and she can get us a discount.quite a cool pair of berms.it has two layers.haha.anyways, thanks seymin!!("v")

after the walking ard, our legs started protesting.thus, we decided to chill at TCC.however, the outlet at Bugis was full.thus, we headed down to the Citylink outlet as it was also on the way to Marina Mandarin Hotel fer dinner.
ordered a drink each and a potato wedges.NICE!haha, try it ppl! =P

headed fer MM at 6+pm.
reached MM and only to realise that i had left my HP at TCC!poor dar, had to rush back n get it fer me.haha, lucky it's an antique HP!
wells, the security due to the IMF posses a hassle fer us to go to MM.but on the other hand, at least it ensures every1's safety.haha.

alrite, reached the restaurant at 645pm sharp.
we started buffet-ing.it's a international buffet.
there's singapore laksa, oyster omelette, prawns, cakes, fruits, crabs, slipper lobster, frog legs,, jellies, ice cream, choco fountain, Jap food, Seafood n all!woots!cool ya?esp the oyster omelette & Seafood! *thumbs up*
i must say it's really worth it! [$48nett/pax]
must thank yinghua fer the idea!haha.

however, the not-so-gd point is that the drinks have to be paid except fer the tap water -_-'''
however, coffee & tea will be served when u'r having ur dessert but i dunno if it is chargable as we skipped it.
and also, the hospitality towards 'ang-mohs' and locals are two worlds apart.not that they are not polite or so, but to them, 'ang-mohs' are RICH while locals are NIAO.

alrite, shall not elab more on it.
we spent close to 3 hrs there enjoying the ambience and food before we left.
the bill totalled to $111.89.considerably cheap?
at least darling enjoyed! =)

then, we went off to relax before cabbing home at 12++am.
glad that i'm the 1st and also the last he spent his bday with.haha.
but was rather guilty that coz of the cake, he did not celeb with his family. =(
sorry darling.

finally, two weeks of slogging paid off.and finally it's over!haha.
glad that everything went off well and hope darling really enjoyed himself!
i noe that it's not super-ly planned, but i hope u'll still like it esp the dinner.
we've alwaes been serving others, and hoped the feeling of being served is a great one.
and also, hoped that u've had a relaxed day before work starts again tml & the commence of the new school semester in 1 week time.
