Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

went out with dar n gang today!woots..been long since we went out together!cant rem the last time..haha..

met up at 3 at city hall..onli mi, dar, alicia+shuishen n dar's fren poh jin (i supposed it's spelled this way) reached on time.waited for bt 25 mins for kel!there's this aunty hu's selling charity ticks came up to us..haha..shuishen's so furni lar..kena suan-ed by the auntie..LOL..

kel reached n we went to starbucks where we met zhili n waited for daniel n ekhong.chatted quite a lil with alicia bt signing on n stuff.den dan n ek reached lar..so we went off to marina sq foodcourt for our lunch..nearli starve to death -_-'''

had my beef noodles..nice =) n honeydew sago for dessert..saw parachutes n F16s all..can c how interested kel is in the planes.after lunch ss decided on catching a movie.dan made a move 1st earlier on as he gotta bk in at 9+ i tink..n ek went to fetch his emily =( zhili oso left to buy his stuff for camp n pohjin went off with him as all the remaining of us r couples..he felt out of place -_-'''

kel went to fetch his tingzi.i named myself xiao wan zi n alicia yingzi.haha..we decided on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!a show i wanted to watch so much.rem tat i actualli completed the story bk by Roald Dahl when im in primary sch!can u imagine sum1 like mi reading a storybk?such a thick 1 summore!

was toking to ss n alicia bt the story bk when dar kel n his tingzi went to toilet for their massive pee..haha..alicia din heard of the bk b4..hmm actualli i had some frens hu dun too..hmm..was a lil surprised as i tot during tat time Roald Dahl was the most famous writer lar..as in the way he writes r more meant for those of primary sch age..haha..nvm bt that..was onli qutie surprised ss read too =X

for those hu dunno bt the story..it's basically bt this guy named Willy Wonka hu was denied the right to eat sweets n choco during his childhood time as his daddy was a dentist.he was being put on braces n stuff to ensure tat his teeth r perfect, in terms of cleanliness n straightness n all, by his daddy. he was so upset n disturbed by the fact tat his daddy disallow him to eat sweets n choco tat he left his hse n told his daddy tat he gonna set up a choco factory n nv to return to his hse again!and so, he realli did...

den he started off his choco biz with a small shop in town n it became so popular among all as he invented 1 tat wun melt for hrs under the sun n tat 1 will feel cool when it's being put into mouth.his choco is named 'Wonka'.soon, his small shop became a big choco factory.other's biz men in the same line grew so jealous of the popularity of his choco tat they sent spies into his factory n stole his recipe..they came up with ice cream tat wun melt under the sun, bubble gum tat can blew into real big bubble n stuff.

he was distraught with grief n finally, one fine day, he decided to close down his factory.

however, he reopened his factory after a long period of time.but this time round, he hired no workers.no1 has ani idea how the choco is produced now,how Willy Wonkers looked like n stuff, coz he nv ever opened up his factory for public nor did he stepped out onto the streets.

den on this particular day, Willy Wonkers had these 5 golden tics packed into this 5 bars of choco which is being sent out to different parts of the world.onli the 5 kids hu got the ticx will b able to together bring along an adult, to visit his choco factory.

n this is where this boi named Charlie came in.

Charlie lived in a family of 7 ppl, including him.his family was not so well-to-do.they barely had sufficient money for 3 meals a day.Charlie's grandpa used to work at Willy Wonker's choco factory b4 it closed down.and Charlie took upon Willy Wonkers as his idol.he too, like the other kids, lurve Wonka choco.

similarly, he was like all the other kids, wanted so much to visit the choco factory.

however,as mentioned, his family is poor so he cant b like other fortunate kids hu could get their parents to buy them bars n boxes of Wonka choco to get the golden tics.he onli get a bar of Wonka choco once a yr, tat is , on his bday, his bday present.

on the eve nite of his bday, his parents bought him a bar of choco n aske dhim to open it.he did, but sad to say, he din managed to get the golden tics.the disappointment was obviously shown in him.seeing how disappointed his grandson is, the upset grandfather took out his private little savings n gave it to Charlie to buy another bar.

filled with hope once again, the anxious boi ran down the street n bought a bar.to his disappointment again, no golden tic is found.as his daddy was retrenched at tat pt of time, he nv tink of trying to get another bar again.

however, as he walked along the streets one day, he found a 10 dollar note on the ground n he quickly ran to the nearest shop where Wonka choco is sold as there is onli 1 last tic not found.he bought a bar n he opened on the spot, not expecting much rather.to his surprise, he saw the golden tic!the excitement in him was indescribable!the few customers in the shop hu saw his golden tic offered money to buy it frm him.but the kind boss of the shop asked him not to sell it n quickly rush hm.he did!

everi1 in the family was happy for him, esp his grandfather!being a mature thinking boi, Charlie decided not to go n instead, to sell off the tic as he clearly understand the financial state his family is undergoing.however, his grandmother dissuaded him of doing so.this particular sentence she mentioned was veri true indeed, "money can b earned while this opportunity is once in a lifetime!"->well i agree tat money is smthn tat can b earn so do wat is worth us doing n not juz thinking abt money =) <-

and so he decided to, along with his grandpa, went to Willy Wonka's factory!

the factory was beyond imagination!the way it was described in the story bk was already like "WOW" when we try to illustrate it n now, seeing it on the screen was like "WOW" X 100 times!i tink this part u gotta catch the movie den u'll get wat i mean!

the motive of him allowing entrance to the lucki 5 who got the tics was to find a suitable person to take over his factory.the trip ard his factory was to test the kid's character n all.Charlie was the one hu "survived" till the end n the 1 who was made the next heir of the choco factory.

however, there's a condition, tat is his would have to leave his family behind n leave together with Willy Wonker alone n live in the choco factory.

as much as Charlie wanted to own the factory, he wun leave his family behind n sadly, he declined the offer.his response clearly surprised Willy Wonker.

Willy Wonker went back to his factory n his mood was totally off.he cant figured out why did Charlie actualli chose his family over his factory.as how the choco taste is veri dependent on his mood to invent n create, his choco started tasting bad as his mood was bad.

he looked Charlie up n get to noe why he chose his family rather.Charlie told him n offered to accompany him back to his previous hm to look up his daddy.he agreed.his daddy was a dentist still.he recognised Willy Wonker n the reunited.din elab much on tt part thou.but till there Willy Wonker finalli understand how Charlie felt.the warmth, the comfort n the everi everi lil thing his family did was for him.

and so, Charlie n family moved into the factory n the story ends here!

quite a long post today.haha..wells, if im asked to rate this movie, it's of course 10/10!however, im sure not everi share the same sentiment as i do as it may not b everi's cup of tea, u see.most prob those who have read the bk b4 will agree on how i rated it =)

however ppl hu have not read the bk b4 like it too!like alicia =) haha..

the song is so furni.. "Willy Wonker , Willy Wonker , Willy Wonker is a genius ... " haha..kel kept singing this verse lar after the movie!ARGH!haha..not nice if it's sang by him! =X haha..the small tiny men in the movie were so cute!i dunno wat they r called..too 'chim' to rem!haha.the choco factory was simply AMAZING!how i wish i had 1 too!haha..in the movie, the indian king hu got himself a choco palace, which eventually melted n fall on him!haha..juz wanna comment tat he's dumb =X

haha..yes..watch this show alrite peeps!haha..kel + tingzi n dar + me actually took pics..sad to say..nv take with others..i wanna upload but there's error extracting the files frm the zip..so i'll do it again..together with other pics i guessed..am so tired..gonna zzz!nites!muacks!
